Spray painting is a simple and widely used surface treatment process, by pouring the paint into the container, pressurized with mechanical equipment, the paint is sprayed on the product in a mist form, forming a layer of paint film, which plays a role in preventing rust, corrosion and decoration of the product or semi-finished product. Painting process is widely used in ships, locomotives, Bridges, machinery and other fields.

According to the mode of operation, spray painting can be divided into manual spray painting and automatic spray painting.

Manual spray painting is a hand-held spray gun that sprays the product according to the shape of the workpiece. The advantages of spray guns are flexible operation, suitable for different environments, shapes and sizes of products, simple equipment, and low energy consumption. However, the production efficiency of hand-held spray gun is low, and the spray quality is not stable.

Automatic spray painting is the use of mechanical control of the spray gun to spray the product. Higher productivity, stable spraying quality, but most of the equipment is not cheap, the structure is more complex.

Spray painting can also be divided into two kinds: air spray painting and high pressure airless spray painting. Air spray painting is a spray gun as a tool, and the paint is blown, atomized and sprayed to the surface of the product by the air flow of compressed air to form a paint film. High-pressure airless spray painting is the use of a high-pressure pump in a closed container, the paint is pressurized from the spray gun, due to the sudden drop in pressure and violent expansion and atomization, spray to the surface of the workpiece to form a paint film.

Spray is a widely used metal surface treatment technology, which is popular in the fields of hardware, home improvement and building materials. Compared with spray painting, spraying will be more complex, it is a process of directly spraying paint powder on the product through the equipment, also known as electrostatic powder spraying.

Spray can directly use paint powder, which does not need to use liquid dilution, less harm to the environment and human body. The coating quality after electrostatic spraying is very good, and the adhesion is also strong; The technical requirements for workers are also relatively low, the curing time is short, and there are many advantages such as liquid flow hanging.

In the process of spraying, the powder coating in the container is sent to the spray gun port by compressed air, and the front end of the spray gun port will produce high voltage static electricity, and will form an electrostatic field.

When the coating powder passes through this electrostatic field, it will discharge to them, and finally each powder will become charged paint ions, under the action of electrostatic force, when it is sprayed, it will be attracted by the product with opposite polarity, thus adsorbed on the surface of the product.

When the coating powder accumulates more and more, the charge will accumulate more, and when it reaches a certain thickness, the charged powder will be repelled by the charged powder covered on the product, and the coating powder will no longer continue to accumulate.
